We pride ourselves in being involved in the community. Dr. Thelemann believes that we are part of something bigger than ourselves by helping others. Our staff members get involved with local causes and events. For example, Dr. Thelemann has responded with donations to local organizations/school fundraisers and given silent auction donations for several local cancer benefits. Here are some of Jordan Dental Care P.A.’s, current news and events. Donated Dental Services: Each year Dr. Thelemann donates her time and materials to a patient in need in the communitywho is referred and screened by the Minnesota Dental Association. The patient usually has physical and/or mental health limitations as well as financial hardship. Children’s Dental Health Month: Each year Dr. Thelemann’s dental assistant, Lisa O., visits the Jordan Elementary School in February to promote Children’s Dental Health Month. She gives a presentation in the classroom, answers questions, gives oral hygiene instructions, and distributes a special prize to the children. Jordan Area Chamber of Commerce: In 2010, Dr. Thelemann was nominated and called to serve on the Jordan Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She attends monthly meetings to help the Chamber grow and participates in several community activities for the Chamber. www.jordanchamber.org Supporting the Jordan Art Festival: Dr. Thelemann has donated time and funds to the local art festival in Jordan, which is an event associated with the Jordan Area Chamber of Commerce. Heimatfest: Dr. Thelemann and staff enjoy being part of Jordan’s annual festival in September. We have been in the parade for several years and usually give out free dental supplies at that event. Dental Insurance Networks: In 2011, in addition to Delta Dental Premier, we have joined the following dental insurance networks: CIGNA Radius, DeCare, Formula One, Health Partners, and Premier Dental Group. Minnesota Dental Association’s Star of the North Meeting: In April, Dr. Thelemann will be attending courses to expand on her skills and expertise at this annual meeting in St. Paul, MN. Her current focus on continuing education is studying complicated bite problems (occlusion and TMJ), dental implants, and children’s dentistry. |
